The Education Sector in South Africa
The South African education sector faces significant challenges, particularly in rural and underprivileged areas. Many schools lack basic infrastructure such as clean water, electricity, and sanitation. The quality of education varies greatly, leading to disparities in literacy and numeracy skills. High dropout rates are prevalent, especially at the secondary level, due to socio-economic factors.
At Ukusiza Abafundi, we are determined to transform education by providing essential resources and support to these communities. Our “Kits for Hope” project distributes educational resources and materials for STEM subjects to students in need, ensuring they have the tools to thrive academically. We also support teacher training to enhance the quality of instruction and foster a more engaging learning environment.
